Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum data needed to run the service. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party ads.

What we collect

Account data: email (for magic-link auth).
Usage data: URLs submitted, transcripts, timestamps, platform.
Billing data (Pro): Polar customer ID + subscription status. We never see card numbers.
Technical data: a session cookie (httpOnly), and a quota cookie for anonymous use.

Why

To deliver the transcription you requested
To show your transcript history
To enforce free / Pro usage limits
To bill Pro subscribers and prevent abuse
To send service emails (sign-in links, account notices)

Third-party processors

Vercel / Cloudflare — hosting
Turso (EU) — database
Groq (US) — speech-to-text (audio not retained per their policy)
Resend — transactional emails
Polar.sh — payments (Merchant of Record)
IPRoyal — residential proxy for video fetch

Retention

Transcripts & account: kept while your account is active.
After deletion: removed within 30 days (excluding billing records, retained 10 years for legal reasons).
Anonymous quota cookies: 48 hours.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you can:

Access, correct, or delete your data
Export your transcripts
Object to processing or withdraw consent
Lodge a complaint with the CNIL

Everything over HTTPS. No password storage (we use magic-link auth).
